Lack of Water and Sanitation.
To many of us living in good, stable conditions we do not see water as one of the main global issues. Personally, I wake up to many bottles of water in my kitchen, I do not have problems with water when I shower and when I brush my teeth. However, this is just one case in billions. The world is not this small island in the Caribbean with a population of 10 million, for this is not even 1/16th of the world.
1 in 10 individuals lack access to safe water. Surprisingly, 60% of the adult body is made up o water, thus many people in the world are not acquiring the amount or the proper water they need. Water, as well, leads to lack of sanitation. In India girls drop out of school because they lack sanitation when they get their periods. As well, in Pakistan the government wastes 47% more on their army then on water and sanitation for their citizens.
Something as simple as diarrhea, which can be cured, is a cause of death for those many people who receive unclean water. It is our time to spread the word for the benefit of all the other people in this world. It is a human right to receive potable water, and 1/10th of the world is not receiving this right. Lets work towards the betterment of the world. Let's work for clean water for all.
