#1 Global Goal: Poverty
In my opinion, the most important
global goal is poverty because of its huge impact in a place or person. Everyday
I see poverty. Not only do I see it in the streets, but at home, school and our
whole island. Besides that, for the past year I’ve been the president of the
club, Hogar del Niño,
where each month we donate money for children to live a more comfortable and
healthy life. This home was made by el Padre Chelo with the support of some
nuns in La Vega for unwanted children, children of addicts and children of
parents that don’t have the money to support them. Here they give them food,
structure, education and a family. In the previous environment these children were
living, they experienced violence, abuse and no education. This is because poverty took all of this
from them. Children are the future and with poverty and no education to teach
them what is right or wrong, our country is always going to be full of
corruption. Clearly, poverty is the most important global goal because it
creates a other major world problems such as hunger, corruption, and education,
which are other global goals.
