Education: The Key Towards Success

Education is one of the 17 "Global Goals" proposed by the United Nations and is one of the most important ones. On September of 2015, 193 world leaders committed to 17 Global Goals to help achieve in the next 15 years. Some of these global goals include helping climate change, fight gender inequality, end extreme poverty and the most important goal is to fight for education. The goal for the UN is to get all of these goals done in all around the world.

Currently only 49% of children worldwide will attend school. I find that this should change. Everybody has the right to be educated and be a successful person. Education is vital for one's future as it prepares you for opportunities and obstacles presented in life. Malala Yousafzai, a Pakistani activist for female education said, "In some parts of the world, students are going to school every day. It's their normal life. But in other parts of the world, we are starving for education... it's like a precious gift. It's like a diamond".  I am in agreement with what Malala said. I believe that nowadays education is one of the biggest problems in the world as obstacles such as money, lack of resources, and a bad quality of teachers does not permit the youth to learn adequately.

The world needs to pay more attention to this issue even though it is not seen as one of the biggest problems. Education saves you from being fooled or cheated upon. The world is a place where we enjoy different freedoms and rights. People will most likely take advantage of those who are illiterate and may be tricked into doing things they do not know of as they are not aware of the liberties they have. Education helps you become a useful member in society and permits you to contribute to it. Also, an educated person is aware of what is wrong or right.

Overall, education is one of the most important, if not the most important problem we face world wide because it drives every problem that we face today as humans.
