Child Mortality- Galilea

This cycle in current events we learnt about child mortality. Child mortality is the death of infants and children under the age of five or between the ages of one month to four years. This is a worldwide crisis that every country struggles with. There are many causes for child mortality. One of them is disease. Countries that do not have access to vaccines maximize child mortality in that country. Another cause for this problem is unsanitary environments. A Healthy environment is vital for a child’s health. And lastly, the nutrition of children. Hunger kills a lot of children that don’t have daily access to food. Nutrition is also vital for a child’s development in the moms wound and outside. So, if the mom doesn’t have access to food, the baby will be lacking in nutrients, therefore, it will not develop correctly.  To solve child mortality and reduce the worldwide statistics, we need to work together. Children that don’t have access to any of these, need people with compassion and awareness to help them thrive for a better future. Every life matters. Children are the future of this planet, yet, disease, unsanitary environments, and nutrition are contributing to the increase of this problem. This is a crisis that each individual should open their eyes and realize the damage this is doing to our planet.
