Gender equality for all!
Gender equality has been a problem since the beginning of time. The most praised individual is a men, and the most problematic individual is a women. This is a classic stereotype both religiously, and politically. According to statistics, up to 3 million women and girls across the UK experience rape, domestic violence, stalking, or other violence each year (Coy, M., Lovett, J. and Kelly, L). Surprised? be marveled on how the first powered airplane took off in a country in which women weren’t allowed to vote, and a lot of people believed they never should. Moving around, in South Asia and Sub- Saharan Africa 40% of women are married by their 18th birthday. Not only is this fact shocking, more precisely mind - blowing, in most Middle East countries men can divorce their wives relatively simply however, women have much more challenges. This are not the only examples of gender inequality, women’s right is still a critical issue through out the world. The worst part is that consequently, women still don't fully realize their human rights. We live in a world were, twitter feed is refreshed each 30 seconds, and in some places husbands have the right to stop their wives from leaving the country. We live in a world were scientist self driving cars exist however, women only earn only 77% of what men do for the same amount of work. Living in a third world country, an extremely sexist country, gender equality has always been present for me. I see it everyday, read about it everyday, feel it everyday. Therefore, it has always been a topic of great interest for me. Gender inequality is definitely a problem, a global problem that has not been put under the scope enough. Something must be done. Lets fight for gender equality!!
