"Poverty: general scarcity, dearth, or the state of one who lacks a certain amount of material possessions or money. It is a multifaceted concept, which includes social, economic, and political elements."

It is the year 2016, where the gourmet food, high-tech advances, luxuries, etc, are at its maximum, and their demand increasing by the minute. So, my question is, why don't people with ample money, sacrifice a little bit of their "wants" and instead help world poverty, since it is the major issue of the worlds problems. Poverty leads to hunger, hunger leads to malnourishment, malnourishment leads to disease, and diseases lead to death. At the end of the day, it costs the government and hospitals more to offer healthcare to these sick, poor people, since they'll have to do it for free. So, why not put more emphasis into helping them. Poverty also creates a vicious, depressing cycle of unemployment and a bigger population of uneducated people. Since poor kids need more money to survive, maintain their homes, help their parents, they drop out of school at an early age and begin to beg. This lack of education will cause them to be poor all their life, which means their kids will be beggars too since they won't have enough money to maintain them in a stable manner. This uneducated population tends to have more children than they can maintain, and at an early age. Causing sickness, and prohibiting young woman adults from finishing their studies.
