Poverty: the worst form of violence!

Today, poverty is the number one problem people all around the world are facing. Poverty includes more than just not having money to buy basic needs such as food, clothing and shelter. The World Bank Organization described poverty as hunger, lack of shelter, being sick and not receiving proper care, no education, no job, along with many more consequences. For me, it is the number one problem because if a person lives in complete poverty, he or she is not able to do anything and all the other problems are usually lead because of poverty.
There are many ways to solve poverty. As Nelson Mandela once said: "It is man-made and it can be overcome and eradicated by the actions of human beings. While poverty persists, there is no true freedom." If all the other goals mentioned by Global Goals are achieved, the amount of population living in poverty would be less. People will find jobs, they will have a perfect health, eating, drinking clean water, having the opportunity to find a job, along with many other benefits. Whenever you see a poor person begging in the streets, give him the food left from your meal that day, or clothes you don't use, or any other thing that is an extra in your life but will certainly benefit them since they have nothing in their lives.
This goal is linked to all the other goals because poverty is the major cause of all the problems that are being tried to solve. If a person is poor, he or she can not receive education. If a person is poor, he or she will face hunger. If a person is poor, he or she is not receiving clean water or sanitation, and the list continues. We are all humans and we should help the large part of the world that needs us. A target Global Goals is trying to accomplish is that "By 2030, eradicate extreme poverty for all people everywhere, currently measured as people living on less than $1.25 a day." As Gandhi once said, "Poverty is the worst form of violence". Let's all contribute and help achieve goal #1!
