Save our climate to solve our crisis!

Taking action to help combat climate change is the most prominent goal because the change in climate negatively affecting the earth in a substantial way. Climate change affects the water levels. The temperature as we talk right now is increasing rapidly making glaciers  in places like west Antarctica and in Greenland meltdown increasing the water levels.  The rising levels are causing  islands to submerge under water, in fact, if the water levels continue rising the Maldives Islands are doomed and will be  the first to go underwater according to research. The change in climate to hotter temperatures will and is causing more droughts and heatwaves as seen in the Dominican Republic and in other areas. The hotness causes some people to have health problems, it also causes the agriculture fields to dry making it difficult to plant crops. Thus, the farmers have to use more water than usual decreasing the amount of water available.This goal connects to the other goals because if we solve our climate problems then we can have a better life on land and we can also have a good well being and better life underwater.  By helping to solve this the issues relating to the world will decrease. I can support this goal by reducing the amount of energy I use in a day. I can turn off the lights when not needed. I can also make sure I do not misuse water because it will help keep the earth cool. Likewise, reducing the amount of carbon dioxide  by carpooling for example if  I'm going out with my friends. This will help decrease the amount of carbon dioxide emitted in the air reducing greenhouse gases in the atmosphere which heat up the earth thus affecting the climate. If we take action we can help solve the problems that the earth is facing. Remember to Innovate, Invent and Campaign!
